I am so glad I did! I have made several batches and continue to perfect my sugar cookie making skills! I decided to pull out the old recipe and give it a try again to save some money. It had been a long time since I had made a batch of these cookies until my sons recent 2nd birthday. They were made by a friend of hers, which later became a friend of mine.Īngela was gracious enough to share her perfect sugar cookie recipe with me when she was no longer in the cookie making business. I was introduced to these amazing sugar cookies by my roommate Katrina. Many years ago, before marriage and definitely before kids, I started organizing a holiday ornament exchange at Christmas. If you would like to get me closer to that goal of $1,000 please click the link below to donate: Not sure why it was on at 8:00 am but I did not mind the cool down! Post 20 miles and a quick run through the splash pad in downtown Bentonville. Luckily I will have my fellow Ronald McDonald House team members for support and also my mom will be driving up for support! I am excited and ready to get this party started!! That will be a totally different experience. Last year my husband also ran the race so we did it together. This year will be different on race weekend also.

So long story short, my 20 miler went very well! I have 18 miles this week, 12 miles the next week, then 8, then race day. After all, who wants to be the person to slow everyone down? Not me! When running with a group I push myself harder and go farther than I thought I could. Honestly when I run solo, if I get tired, I stop. When I run with another person or group I do so much better! I do not stop as frequently and my head is just in a better place. We also meet up with another group of runners for added support. Far past my goal of 26.2 on October 8th! She is also crazy enough to get up super early to get those miles completed. She is crazy! She is also very inspiring! When I want to complain about 20 miles I realize her longest run for her training was 31 miles. This year I have completed most of my training with a new friend! My friend Laura is running 40 miles on her 40th birthday. Last year I ran every one of my training runs by myself, and that is how I preferred it. My training has been so different this year. Last week I ran my longest training run before the big day. I am so close to reaching that $1,000 minimum!! Only $140 to go!! I have had a great year of fundraising and all of my family and friends have been such a great support. My apologies for not being more diligent in updating my supporters.

Bad, as in this is my first update and there are only 26 days left until the big day. Ok, I’m embarrassed at just how bad I have been at updating on my marathon training this year.
